- It's 1 cup of rice.
- You need 2 of big onions.
- It's 1/2 kg of green beans.
- You need 1 tsp of salt.
- You need 1 tsp of cumin.

Rice with Beans (رز بفول) (Vegan, Vegetarian) instructions
- Wash and soak the rice.
- Slice the onions and fry them.
- Once the onions turn pinkish, add the green beans and sizzle for a couple of minutes.
- Add water and bring to a boil.
- Add the salt and cumin and boil till the beans cook.
- Once cooked, add the rice, cover with water (two fingers above ingredients) and bring to a boil.
- Cover the pot and let it cook for 10 min (till the water evaporates).
- Turn off the fire, add a dash of olive oil, stir.
This rice has a wonderful fragrance, a complex taste, and a lovely color (due to the shredded carrots). This dish is best enjoyed with a chopped salad, vegan yogurt, or as an accompaniment to bean or tofu dishes. Don't forget to toast some nuts for sprinkling on top.
